2003 ALA/CLA Annual Conference

The 2003 ALA/CLA annual Conference in Toronto is shaping up to being another great success and SIRC (Sport Information Resource Centre) plans to have live demonstrations of its renowned database SPORTDiscus. For 30 years SIRC has been providing access to full-text and bibliographic references in such areas as sports medicine, physical education and health and safety to name only a few.

The scope of SIRC's database is highlighted by its global coverage. Contributions from respected international indexing partners ensure we always have extensive global content. Contributors include: The Australian Sports Commission, the Amateur Athletic Foundation in Los Angeles, Institut national du sport et de l'éducation physique in France, International Institute for Sport and Human Performance (University of Oregon), Universidad Internacional Deportiva in Malaga, Spain and other members of the International Association of Sport Information. The SIRCThesaurus, created for indexing and used as a research aid, is considered by many to be the industry standard.

Rob Gallaher, Director of Sales and Marketing will be giving demonstrations of SPORTDiscus and updates on the SIRCThesaurus at EBSCO's booth # 615 during the following times:

1. Saturday at 11:00 am
2. Sunday at 11:00 am
3. Monday at 11:00 am
